OK Christine here is my entry into your Flash your stash contest.
Behold the wall of Yarn. We used to have this on display in our living room but now it's in the craft room just off the living room and still visible from the living room.
Upper left is Malabrigo
next lower shelf on left is Manos Del Uruguay and three hanks of Brown Sheep left over from a felting project.
Next lower shelf on left is a mix of wool and wool blends and some alpaca. Notice the Whale of a skeins from lobster Pot on the right side of this shelf. So nice... ( the Pink/orange and Aqua hanks)
Next Lower Shelf on the left is Diekeito wool that is hidden in the back (16 balls only two showing) Debbie Bliss Soho, Debbie Bliss Baby Cashmerino Berroco Pure Merino and more and more Cashmerino
Next Lower Shelf on the left is a few cones of yarn, some Shaffer yarn, and bags (12 balls or more) of yarn including Karabella 8 and Debbie Bliss Cashmerino.
The bottom left shelf has the periodicals and the remnants in the pink boxes.
The right side goes like this...
Top Right Shelf is Silk Blends.
Next lower shelf on the right is pure silk.
below that are the knitting books that would fit on the shelf

ReplyDeleteWow so neat and fresh looking. How long do you think that will last?
ReplyDeleteI like the way you have organized it. It would inspire my imagination think up projects. I hope you are enjoying your new home.

It's so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI could look at that all day. I hope you are enjoying your new home and get to relax for the three day weekend.
ReplyDeleteHoly Cow! That's some stash. I've been trolling SP11 participants looking for my spoiler, and you're the first person I found with the same hostess as me :)
ReplyDeleteare you kidding? check my stash out if you haven't already..

I THINK my stash makes yours look like yarn for a project.... and not a stash... get to buyin' kiddo - you got a long way to go before friends are going to stage an intervention! :)
I love that your stash is on display and so organized... Maybe if I looked at my stash all the time, I would be more apt to knit from it - or not...
ReplyDeleteWhat a great way to display your stash! I am always looking for a way to show off the beauty of the yarn I collect, and this gives me ideas. Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI have to admit that generally my darlin' hubby ignores my habits. If, however, I "stashed" all my yarn out in the open, he may be provoked to ask something like "so, when're you opening the store?"
ReplyDeleteI love the way it looks. I really, really would love to put out all my yarn and such but it really would be too tempting for the men in my life . . . my 6 year old loves yarn and our LYS is one of his most favorite place to play and pet . . . and, again, my darlin' hubby has been known to snag a "ball" for a school project (ARGHHHH . . . he teaches first grade and wrongly believes that all yarn is created equally)!

ReplyDeleteWow, what a nice stash collection. I am quite impressed by your organization!!
ReplyDeleteVery nice organization. Unfortunately, my stash would probably take up 4 or 5 times that amount of space. I'm on a destashing rampage now and hopefully will get it down to just 2 or 3 lieftimes' worth!
