This is the first year I've really wanted to celebrate Christmas since moving to the Midwest so off to Menards for the tree and the necessary accoutrements for said tree. For those of you on the West Coast, Menards is like Home Depot. I selected a Fraser fir. Nice deep dark color and the pine scent is really strong. I named the tree Lucy because it's not a Charlie Brown type. I found some retro looking glass ornaments to dress up Lucy.
