a little out of order but yes we did more shopping over the Weekend.

Last Saturday we took a drive to A Mano Yarn Center because of what was on their store blog. For those of you in the So Ca. area, you need to go check it out. We missed the 75% off sale on Alchemy but we made the 40% off while it last on Karabella Aurora 8. We bought 12 balls in pink and 15 balls in a royal purple.

Mrs. Twisted already has projects selected for each of the Karabella purchases. I have been long awaiting the shipment of the new Rio De La Plata hand dyed Sock yarn. Last weeks store blog had the good news that the sock yarn was in. They had about 5 different colors and I selected the quartz pink monochromatic colorway.

435 yards of superwash wool in one hank for $16.77, Great value and the color is vibrant yet not to busy if you wanted to do a lace pattern.

Wednesday night Kate Jacobs will be joining the Bad Girls knit night at A Mano Yarn Center.

If you've never been to a Bad Girls knits, then here's your opportunity to attend and bring your knitting for some fun and enjoy the great company. Kate will be reading an excerpt and signing copies of her new book The Friday Night Knitting Club. If you haven't read the book and you"re a knitter you will love the similarities to your own LYS. You know the people who are always there, the regulars. They even have a blog Walker & Daughter that replicates so many of the LYS near you.

Also I finished my first sock last night. it fits! No holes! and it's comfortable. Casting on the second one tonight and I should have a pair by Christmas

We have a bittersweet announcement to make; Bahlex Trebeck is retiring.

He plans to spend his twilight years in Measure World, the lesser known annex of Leisure World Retirement Center Seal Beach. Frolicking amongst the silks and cashmeres. We wish him all the best in his future endeavors but don't worry he will remain as a consultant on future projects when his expertise in fine fiber is always appreciated. He has nothing but time on his hands now. Oh he opted for the titanium retirement watch because it looked better against his greying coat.

I would like to introduce SaDee LaDee Bug who is taking over the measurement duties for Mrs. Twisted.

Wow! There is a lot going on in Twisted Knitsterland. I have heard wonderful things about Karabella. We have similar tastes in color. I have never heard of the Rio sock yarn before. That color will look beautiful in lace. Bahlex Trebeck - that is funny! Well, tell him congratulations on his retirement and the watch looks lovely. YOUR FIRST SOCK! YAY!!! It looks like it fits perfect. There is a lot of knitterly goodness going on over there.
